Our Founder
Dr. Irene Amos
Dr. Irene Amos is an exceptional force in the world of education, with a remarkable journey that has shaped her into a seasoned expert and an unwavering advocate for educational excellence. Her profound commitment to empowering learners spans over 15 years, influencing countless lives and institutions across Gulfport, Mississippi, and beyond.

Born and raised in Mississippi, Dr. Irene Amos received a Bachelor’s degree in English from Ole Miss and continued her educational journey at William Carey College, where she achieved a Master’s degree in Secondary Education. Here, her passion for shaping young minds began to take root.

Continuing her relentless pursuit of excellence, Dr. Amos earned her Specialist and Doctoral (Ph.D.) degree in Education Leadership from the University of Southern Mississippi. These monumental achievements equipped her with the insights, strategies, and determination needed to make a profound impact on the educational landscape, including a career encompassing a diverse range of roles, including principal and assistant principal at several K12 schools.

Beyond her education career, Dr. Amos boasts an impressive 18 years of service in the United States Army Reserve, exemplifying her dedication to discipline, leadership, and an unwavering commitment to others. As a retired military veteran, her myriad of experiences further enriched her ability to inspire and instill core values in children that transcend the classroom.
Today, Dr. Irene Amos serves as principal of the Roger Amos McMurtry School, a nonpublic school in Gulfport, MS. She enjoys offering her wealth of knowledge and experience to shape the future of education. Dr. Amos’s previous experience as an education consultant stands as a beacon of hope and transformation for educators, students, and institutions seeking excellence.
